MISSIONWashtenaw Affordable Housing Corporation (WAHC) is a private nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to increasing and preserving the supply of good quality housing in Washtenaw County that is affordable to households earning at or below 50% of the area median income based on family size. WHAT WE OFFER
WAHC owns and manages 123 units of housing that include 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. These units are located in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. WAHC’s rents are below market rate to assure affordability for our target population, but WAHC does not offer any direct subsidy. Clients entering our program must have sufficient income and assets to meet not only their housing obligations but enough surplus to provide for all other routine living expenses. We do accept rental subsidy payments such as Section 8 and Shelter Plus.
